About Christine

I’m a founder who built and sold a marketing agency to private equity and learned the hard way that building a business and selling it are two completely different skill sets.

My Story

22 Years Building. 3 Years Selling. 3 Years Figuring Out What's Next

I founded Clarity Quest Marketing with a laptop, a newborn, and a healthy dose of “what-was-I-thinking” energy. Over 20 years, I grew it into one of the top healthcare marketing agencies in the country, and then sold it to private equity.

I built a business that could run without me in every meeting and a brand specific enough that buyers knew exactly what they were getting. I received five Letters of Intent: two ghosted me after signing, one fell apart the week before close, and I walked from another because the culture fit was wrong. On the fifth try, I closed.

After the sale, I stayed on as Chief Growth Officer at the holding company, growing revenue 88% in two years. I learned exactly how private equity firms evaluate businesses and why so many founders leave millions on the table because they don’t speak their language.

Now I help founders build businesses buyers fight over and exit on their own terms, with their sanity intact and wealth optimized.

What they don't tell you about selling your company:

  • You’ll feel relieved and unmoored at the same time.
  • Watching someone else run your company is harder than you think.
  • The earnout period can feel like being a guest in your own house.
  • You’ll question your identity, your purpose, and what you’re supposed to do with the rest of your life.

Today, You’ll Find Me…

  • Advising B2B founders on how to scale and sell their companies
  • Speaking on stages and podcasts about what actually happens during the exit process
  • Helping founders recover and reposition after a failed exit attempt
  • Writing my next book: Mastering the Exit Gauntlet™

When I'm Not Working

You’ll find me on a golf course, on a yoga mat, skiing, or hiking somewhere with decent elevation. I split my time between Keene, NH and Mystic, CT because life’s too short to pick just one place you love.

Let's talk about your exit.

I’ll tell you what’s working, what’s going to hurt your valuation, and whether I’m the right person to help you fix it.
